U-23 European silver medalist, World Indoor Championships fourth placed, Universiade gold medalist Halil Akkas signed a two years contract with Fenerbahce.

September 8, 2006Fenerbahce Swimming Team transferred talented Kaan Tayla from Ankara Buyuk Kolej team.
Who is Kaan Tayla
Is a swimmer who was a Binghamton University student, studied computer engineering. He was in the university swimming team and was called-up to Turkish national swimming team to represent Turkey in 2004 Olympics which took place in Athens.
His favourite distances are 50m and 100m. He was honoured with the “Male Rookie of the Year” award in 2005.
His Individual Records:
50m free: 20.16 seconds
100m free: 44.46 seconds
200m free: 1:40.84 seconds
Fenerbahce Rowing Team are the Turkish Champions
July 9, 2006Fenerbahce Rowing Team won the Turkish Championship with a record winning of 15 races in 17.
Team had a support from fans around the lake as they celebrated the championship with the team afterwards.
Two Fenerbahce Swimmers in the Youth National Team
July 4, 2006Between 6 – 9 July, Turkish National Team of Youth Age will be in Spain in the Youths European Championship with five swimmers while two of them are Fenerbahce members. Gizem Cam and Deniz Bora Alkan will be aiming gold medals in the tournement.
