Suspensions Declared after Galatasaray – Fenerbahce Derby

The last derby of Istanbul brought several unprofessional acts from both sides’ players at the end of the game and it ended with total 4 red cards while 2 of them were to Fenerbahce players Semih Senturk and Diego Lugano.

The related commitee of Turkish FA declared that Diego Lugano will be suspended for 5 games and Semih Senturk for 3 games. Goalkeeper Volkan Demirel also banned for 3 games with a reason of unprofessional gesture to opponent fans. On the other hand three players of Galatasaray are suspended too but it was a bit hard to understand as their suspensions were less than the suspensions Fenerbahce players got.

Suspensions will start immediately and Fenerbahce board made a decision not to apply to reduce the bans as a principle.
