Luis Aragones, new Fenerbahce manager, started his managing career in Atletico Madrid in 1974. The 70 years old experienced tactical genius has already managed Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, Valencia CF, Real Oviedo, RCD Mallorca, Real Betis, RCD Espanyol in his career respectively. He was appointed Spanish National Team manager in 2004 and had been in charge since then.

Luis Aragones is well known with his high tactical knowledge. He earned the nick name of “The Wise Man” with his knowledge and experience. He also had a nickname of “Big Foot” during his playing career pointing out his being a free-kick specialist.

Career Highlights

Luis Aragones won the La Liga with Atletico Madrid in 1977. He also won Copa Del Rey with Atletico Madrid in 1976, 1985, 1992, Spanish Super Cup in 1985 and Intercontinental Cup in 1974. During his time with Barcelona, the club won the Copa Del Rey in 1988.
