Galatasaray – Fenerbahce, Turkish Super League 32th Matchday

Fenerbahce are going to play a decisive derby game against arch rivals Galatasaray on Sunday. The 32th matchday game will be in Galatasaray’s venue at 19:00 (local time, +1 for CET).

Fenerbahce will miss Roberto Carlos as he hasn’t been able to play after Champions League 1st round 1st leg game against Sevilla where he got injured. He was declared to miss the rest of the season after a final check-up made last week. Also Stephen Appiah who hasn’t been with the team more than 6 months due to a surgery will miss the game, too. On the other hand, there are no suspended players in the squad for the derby.

It is not expected that Zico will make major changes in the line-up or in the team play style. At the last league game against Denizlispor (4-1), Zico put Selcuk Sahin on the pitch instead of Claudio Maldonado which was taken as a tip that he is preparing him as the second defensive midfielder with Mehmet Aurelio against Galatasaray. The only question seem unanswered is whether he is going to choose Ugur Boral or Colin Kazim-Richards in the starting line-up. As he choosed Colin at the last league game in the right wing, probably he will again. Colin Kazim-Richards have been performing quite well from the Champions League quarter final game against Chelsea up to now.

Fenerbahce ranked 1st before this game while Galatasara ranked 2nd with same points. Fenerbahce won the first game in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium by 2-0.

Expected starting line-up for Fenerbahce
Volkan Demirel, Wederson, Diego Lugano, Edu Dracena, Gokhan Gonul, Selcuk Sahin, Mehmet Aurelio, Deivid de Souza, Colin Kazim-Richards, Alex, Mateja Kezman
